Peel dishes tips at Barnes & Noble
Published on August 07, 2008
I haven't read Kathy Peel's latest book, Busy Mom's Guide to a Happy, Organized Home: Fast Solutions to Hundreds of Everyday Dilemmas, but I can tell from the title (and the woman pictured on the cover, a cross between Martha Stewart and Hillary Clinton) that it would bore the crap out of me. A better title would be Drinking Mom's Guide to a Happy, Chaotic Home: Everyday Dilemmas Happen Every Day, So Ignore Them. It would have tips like pairing wines with frozen lasagnas and Panburger Partner, advice on making trash heaps in the house less noticeable, and suggestions for covering up the smell of a kid who hasn't bathed in three days so some nosy, busybody teacher doesn't call CPS. I'll offer title suggestions to Mrs. Peel 7 p.m. Wednesday at Barnes & Noble Lincoln Park, 7700 W. Northwest Highway. Call 214-739-1124.
