TICA is back with its tail swishing

When you come in the door at night, do you say hello to a meowing, four-legged family member? Do you occasionally leave the TV on so someone with whiskers can watch his "favorite show" and have "company"? Do you have more cat food bowls than you do cereal ones? If you answered "yes" to any of these questions, you're a cat person. Cat people, listen up. TICA Annual 2008 is finally here. We know you've been waiting with bated kitten breath, anxiously fashioning matching tulle accessories for your kitty's collar and your own lapel. It's understood that you've snapped photo after photo for submission into the Purrsonal.com Super Star Cat Photo Contest—lounging poses, action shots, come hither looks. And raise your hand if you're part of an agility team competing in the International Cat Agility Tournament. Screw Australian cattle dogs; the tabbies have it. Yep, The International Cat Association show begins with a welcome party (hosted by the venerable foodsters Royal Canin) Friday night at the Hilton Inn-Arlington (check the TICA site for eligibility), the annual show at Arlington Convention Center, 1200 Ballpark Way, Saturday and Sunday, and an awards banquet Saturday night back at the Hilton Inn-Arlington. Featured breeds include American Curl, Ragdoll, Chausie, Spotted Bengal and others. Check out rules and regulations for the Super Star Photo Contest at Purrsonal.com. TICA begins at 8:30 a.m. both days. See tica2008.com for schedule and additional event details.
