Laugh Out Proud

The Lakewood hosts a night of queer comedy

I like comics. I like gays. But gay comics? Hell yes! Next to black comics, gay ones are the best, because sadly, jokes about hardships and prejudices are hilarious. Besides, with gay peeps, life is pretty much all punch lines with the travails of finding a date, coming out to the parents and going to the gym twice a day, five times a week. And expect to hear lots about all that and more with the Gay Up Stand Up comedy show coming your way. Queer comics Jason Dudey, Erin Foley and their friends hit the Lakewood Theater, 1825 Abrams Parkway, at 8 p.m. Sunday. But personally, I'm a little more excited that Cassie Nova, drag queen extraordinaire, will be hosting the show. For more information, call 214-821-7469 or visit lakewoodtheater.com.
