The Dream Cafe was opened in January 1988 by chef/owner Mary O'Brien. 'The Dream' is still true to its principles of healthhy and organic cuisine anticipated by Ms. O'Brien some twenty years ago, and includes, but is not limited to, veagan and vegetarian specialties. Brunch has been a Dream Cafe specialty from the beginning, with many guests enjoying mimosas and "Cloud Cakes" on the patio.
The menu has expanded to include many more savory dishes as well as indulgent desserts, all still made with the same wholesome, quality ingredients that have been a hallmark of 'Dream' cuisine for twenty years. A polished wine list, itself a first with many organic and biodynamic wine offerings, is largely American in persuasion.
A second location in Addison opened at Belt Line and the Dallas North Toll way in 2003, serving the N. Dallas/Richardson/Plano areas.
